Frequently Asked Questions?

Do I need to be "Spiritual" to do coaching with you?

No! You do not need to be spiritual to do coaching with me, and If you were to meet me in the street or at an event, you probably wouldn't think I was very spiritual either.

Although I study and teach mindfulness practices, and have a deep understanding of energy, and the various ways in which the universal laws impact our lives, I see spirituality as being no different to psychology and common philosophy, and simply use it as helpful knowledge to understand life and how it works in a better, more intricate way. Therefore, my coaching and views on spirituality are very much grounded, cutting out a lot of the woo-woo stuff you see so much of today.

My understanding and knowledge of spirituality is very much used as a silent tool, which I use to help me ask my clients the right questions in order to bring about the right answers which lead to healthy change.

Can I do some of my sessions both in person and online?

Coaching sessions can be done in any way that is best for you. Whether you want some in person and some online, all in person, or even all online that is completely up to you. Some of my clients live overseas, so I am very much flexible with how I see people.

Is life coaching the same as counselling and therapy?

No. For the most part, although some aspects are similar, life coaching is not the same as counselling and therapy. To put it in a simple way for you to understand, counselling is very much past and present focused. Diving into traumas, events, deep emotions and thoughts to help you gain a deeper understanding of what has happened or is happening, how you feel about it, and helping you with coping mechanisms and immediate stress. Therapy is very much focused around understanding behaviors, treating mental health conditions, developing insights into one's thoughts and behaviors, and treating anxiety, depression, trauma, or personality disorders. Life coaching is present and future focused, while taking information form the past when necessary to help gain a deeper understanding of your situation, how you got to where you are, how you can prevent patterns from reoccurring, and how you can move forward in the best way possible. Holistic life coaching aims to help you gain clarity and confidence on your path, increase your overall wellbeing, boost self confidence and self awareness, and set achievable goals which lead you to your desired situation or lifestyle. My coaching is also focused around lifestyle, work-life structures, routines, and personal and professional development.
